Dr. Joseph Matos is professor of biblical studies at Dallas Baptist University, where he teaches primarily New Testament courses, Greek, and Christianity in a Pluralistic World. He also has taught Old Testament courses, Christian Doctrine, and Principles of Biblical Interpretation. The diversity of teaching experience has provided him a wholistic and integrative perspective for understanding and applying the teaching of the Bible to life, along with the practical and ideological challenges leveled at the faith of Christians individually and at the Christian faith as a worldview.
His YouTube channel On Journey with Dr. Joseph Matos seeks to encourage others to establish and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In Galatians 4:19, the Apostle Paul communicated to the churches in Galatia that the goal of his efforts among them was that Christ be formed in them. He likened the extent of his labors to that of one who was in “the pains of childbirth.” Similarly, On Journey posts videos which foster spiritual growth and formation, reflects on the various aspects of that journey, and aids believers in maneuvering the many challenges Christians face. As such, it serves as a companion to this website as well.

Scott Amendt lives in eastern North Carolina where he currently serves as the Lay Leader of Farmville Methodist Church, plays percussion in the praise and worship band, and teaches adult discipleship classes. Scott holds a BS in Music Recording Technology from Barton College, BA in Biblical Studies from Carolina College of Biblical Studies, MA in Christians Apologetics from Luther Rice College and Seminary, and is currently enrolled in the DMin in Theology and Apologetics program at Liberty Theological Seminary.
While Scott has been involved in the powersports industry for nearly 30 years, his passion is grounded in Jesus and defending the Christian worldview. His passion for apologetics came while attending Bible college, realizing there is a great need for this ministry. This ministry need is not only outside the church walls, addressing many opposing views to Christianity. It is also inside the church, equipping followers of Jesus on how to articulate the reasons why the Christian worldview best aligns with reality. As the apostle Peter writes, “always be ready to make a defense to anyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15).
